2 Crafty

I am loving the 2 Crafty challenges!  This month it was a multi pic challenge - and using 2 Crafty chippy as well of course.

 I have used some of the 2 Crafty banners for part of my title, inking them in two different colours and adding some thin string.

Another card...

When I feel my creativity is lacking and it seems too difficult to tackle a page, I'll sit down and create a card.  Or two.  LOL

This one is for the Scrapbook City Card blog challenge #4 - handmade flowers...

there are sooooo many different types and styles of flowers one can make now days ... so which one to choose??  In the end, I went with this:

DeLovely Christmas card

So, I decided to make a Christmas card out of some Cosmo Cricket DeLovely scraps ... 

I think it's a perfect range for non-traditional Christmas cards :-) what do you think??  (pp and the flower brad are from Handmade by Suzanne)

Then, I was in the card making mood so made this one:

Kraft It Up!!

Just LOVED the sketch at Kraft It Up this month and couldn't wait to play along :-)

"Finally 4" (because she was waiting for her birthday for soooooooo long ....remember what it was like when birthdays seemed so far away and you wish they would HURRY UP???!!!  LOL)

 I have used more of my Cosmo Cricket DeLovely papers and embellies as well as the yellow flower brad and Sass Lass banner stickers (all available at Handmade by Suzanne)

This gorgeous Lilredrocket flower matched these papers perfectly :-).  Just love pink and green together ... can you tell???  ... LOL .... :-)

A bit chilly...

Well, not now exactly, although the weather can't seem to make up it's mind what it wants to do at the moment!  This pic was taken back in winter ... one of those sunny winter days when the cabin fever set in and the decision was made.  Let's go for a walk to the park!!

 This page is for the Out Of The Hat challenge this month.  Haven't played along the last 2 or so months, but glad I found time for this one :-).  The criteria was so fun:

handmade embellishment

book paper.

I have used a Shabby Lollipop from Pretty Petals as one of my handmade embellishments ... I layered it on a doily and painted Sparkle Mod Podge on top for some ... well ... sparkle :-)

there is also a pink Lil Red Rocket button .... AND I handmade the kite!!  I had actually made the kite for something else but didn't use it.  Thought it fit on this page :-)

You'll notice, I am still using some Cosmo Cricket DeLovely pp's from Handmade by Suzanne!  Which reminds me, the store has moved to a new - better - location ... check it out HERE  :-)  The gallery and blog are now all part of the same website!!

I haven't played along with a 123 challenge for sooooo long!!  Loved the criteria this month:

 I used playing card instead of patterned paper as a background (they are green with the word GO on them LOL)

Stop and smell the roses

Scrap the Girls have a Shakespeare quote for inspiration this month:

**Extra criteria - flowers & buttons**

I stepped out of the box a bit and decided to focus on the 'smelling the roses' part rather than a name....

Stop and smell the roses:

  I have used some Pretty Petal flowers ... 2 yellow Satin Blossom flowers (I thought these matched the flowers Miss B is holding in the photo) and a Story Book flower. (the photo is by LaBelle Photographics)

I added some bling to the Satin Blossom flowers ... just cos I could ... LOL

DeLovely goodness :-)

My DT pack from Handmade by Suzanne this month was full to the brim of DeLightfully DeLious Cosmo Cricket DeLovely goodies!!  (LOL .. sorry, couldn't resist)  I was over the moon as I think this range would still have to be one of my all time favourites so far.  I adore the colours and the whole bright prettiness of it all as well as all the fun elements :-)

So,

Life is lovely:

 For this page, I got border punch happy and punched heaps of strips from one sheet of pp and using both the A and B side as well as some plain cardstock I had fun creating this background.  I have had this idea floating in my head for a little while now.  The punching took me forever, so I'm glad it looked OK in the end :-).  Those gorgeous flowers are from the lovely Taryn who I met the other weekend... thanks Taryn :-).  The doilies are from the other weekend too... oh how I love them!!!

How could I not have a page with a title with the word "Lovely" in it LOL!  These alphas are on the sheet of cardstock shapes... cute aren't they :-)   

 Journaling with the Cosmo Cricket tiny type alphas .... love them. 

Pinata time:

 The chipboard shapes in this range are so much fun to use and make embellishing a breeze.  I have used the border strips and some flowers.



 
 The Cosmo Cricket tiny type alphas include some word stickers ... fun!!!  The pearls are one of my fav products in the HBS store :-)

I have cut out some flowers from the pp and put them on top of the chippy ones for some added depth.  Also available from the store ... cardstock, glimmermist, Sassafrass Lass banner stickers, Thickers.

Don't forget the sketch challenge this month!!  A fab voucher up for grabs :-)

2nd Stuck?! Sketch for October

Sorry this is a little late, we are currently having computer issues here which is rather annoying to say the least!!!  Anyway, I am finally able to post my take on this super cute Stuck?! Sketch ...

 Aw... such cute pics of our little Mister :-).  I have used some yummy Lilredrocket goodies...

 Another spotty button (I think both buttons are from the boy pack) and the music scalloped round...

I don't have a close up of it, but the blue string below the photos is LRR too :-) :-) :-) (don't forget it's LRR's birthday this month and there is a challenge to play along with!!!  You could win some LRR goodies!!!)

A savvy sketch

Just loved the Savvy sketch this month and I knew exactly which photos I wanted to use...

These photos are of Miss B spelling her name in stickers for the first time ... she was so proud of her first attempt!

 I have used some cute doilies I got on the weekend (thanks Leanne and Gilly!!!) and lots of other bits and pieces.  I also included the actual name plate ... I mean, what else am I going to do with it ... LOL!

no, the page didn't have to be about a first birthday or even birthday themed ... LOL ... it just happened that our little Mister turned one recently and I had some pics that fit in with the theme of THESE FAB BUTTONS ----->

And I used some of Shell's LRR packaging ... just cos I could .... hehe. A spotty yellow button ... some vintage tickets...

Seriously ... these big buttons are SO cute .... I just had to use 2 on this layout :-) :-)
